1: So carpool has been a beast this year with so many new Wednesday clubs. The other clubs are so different from us in their format. We have a show we are preparing and need EVERY SECOND of rehearsal time (and I'd take more) which means we are getting out later than the rest and holding up the carpool line. So, if you will help me, they are asking that either:
1. We park and meet at the bench at the front of the school 2. If staying in carpool line, please arrive at 2:35. Either you choose is fine with me. Thank you for the help. These next three weeks will be VERY full so I know we will be running late and I just want to be proactive. 2: We have a community performance planned!!! CAROLING ON CANTON in Roswell December 3rd, 2017 Time:TBA (somewhere b/w 5-7pm) There will be fun activities and lots of hot chocolate flowing so bring the family, hear some great music, and then go enjoy the festivities! 3: Prepare for next weeks rehearsal: Time for Hanukkah- get down words and parts Solos were assigned: please practice Sleigh Ride- WORDS! 4th and 5th: Recorder piece and bring recorders again Wednesday I am SOOOO excited to annouce that IMPACT will be performing for the inagural season of the new Suntrust Braves Stadium this May!! Any students enrolled in IMPACT during the spring session (January-April) will get to sing the National Anthem on the field May 3rd when the Atlanta Braves play the New York Mets!!! I can't wait you get started again in January, I have big plans...big plans!! I hope you all have a wonderful break and sending you my love and good music through the holday season! Because Music Matters, Mrs Gardner Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful "Turkey Day" with lots of time to rest up and spend time with family. I was walking on cloud nine all week after Fridays performance. I was so proud of all of you. What a crazy way to get our feet wet for performing in front of an audience!! LOL I tried to get these videos up sooner this week, but have been having site issues. I also figured most of you would be out of town and unable to practice till this weekend anyway. PLEASE review the choreography from last week and learn Rockin Robin for Wedensday. The Robin video has a stutter in it where the video freezes, don't worry I'll teach those few seconds to you Wednesday (it is easy). See you all soon!! We are 2 rehearsals away from our show, its crunch time baby! LOL I am so excited to say that IMPACT has been asked by Principal Appleyard to perform at the "secret" Blue Ribbon Pep Rally THIS FRIDAY! It is going to be so awesome for our performers to get to show off in front of our school in this historical event. That being said, IMPACT shirts will come home today with performers. If they will please wear it with
jeans and sneakers on Friday morning. The rally will be held in the bus lane and it is going to be COLD! Please have your performer wear a white or black long sleeve shirt under their IMPACT shirt. Also, please listen to your performer sing "Rockin Roll Forever" before Friday to make sure they know the words. I can't wait to show them off on Friday!!! |
